Obtaining her degree of Batchelor of Arts in Law and International Relations in 1998, she subsequently obtained a diploma in Notarial Studies. In 2001 she obtained a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta, with a thesis on Environment and Development Planning law. Furthering her studies in European Union Law, in 2002 she obtained a Magister Juris in European Union Law after submitting her Competition law thesis entitled: ‘An analysis of Motor Vehicle Distribution in the Framework of European Competition Law.’
